The Arts Council of Lincoln County hosts a number of different exhibitions, competitions and events throughout the year in the Cochrane and Carolina Mills Galleries, located in the Lincoln Cultural Center at 403 East Main Street in Lincolnton, NC. We showcase the area's amateur, emerging and established artists who work in mediums ranging from clay, wood, fiber, metal and glass to mixed media, oil, watercolor and acrylic painting. Please contact us if you are interested in displaying your work in our galleries.
The Arts Council of Lincoln County Art Camp will be June 19-23 grades K-5 will be 9:30am-12:30pm grades 6-12 will be 1pm-4 pm This years theme is Pokemon. $125 per child. If registered and paid by May 1 %20 discount to ACLC members and %10 for nonmembers.
We also offer half and full day art and/or craft classes throughout the year for adults and children and are always looking for new and exciting instructors and encourage area artists and craftspeople to do so. If you have an interest in teaching an Art Camp class or have an idea for a class for the Arts Council, please email us or call our office at 704-732-9044.

Summer Art Camp, Art Classes & Teaching Opportunities
Paul C. Rhyne Art Competition
Exhibit: October 21-Nov 25 2016
This is an annual regional exhibition, which was renamed in 2007 in honor and memory of Paul C. Rhyne, a life-long resident of Lincolnton and supporter of the Arts Council. Exhibit is on display in the galleries of the Lincoln Cultural Center, 403 East Main Street, Lincolnton, NC .

Lincoln County School’s Art Competition & Awards
Exhibit: TBA - Awards Presentation Sunday Awards Presentation Sunday May 21,2017
Time: 2pm – Grades K-2, 3pm - Grades 3-5, 4pm - Middle & High School
All Lincoln County students are eligible to participate in this annual competition. Prizes are awarded for the following categories: K-2, 3rd-5th, middle school and high school.
April Robinson Lineberger Literacy Competition: All entries Must be postmarked by April 1, 2017

Grassroot Sub-Grant Application & Grant Workshop
Applications are available for non-profit organizations whose purpose is to promote and develop diverse cultural arts programming in Lincoln County. Funding priority is given to qualified arts organizations, arts in education programs conducted by qualified artists, and other community organizations that provide arts programs in the county. Projects must occur between July 1, 2015 – June 30, 2016.
Regional Artist Grant
Grants of up to $2,000 for professional development
Funding for individuals and unincorporated groups of artists to pursue projects that further enhance their artistic development. The RAPG is open to eligible artists in all disciplines and provides an all or nothing grant of up to $2,000 to pay for one professional development fee, or to purchase or rent one piece of equipment. 2016 Amateur Photography Competition
January 11 - February 5, 2016 - Opening Reception Friday January 15, 2016 @ 6:30pm-8pm
This multi-category competition is open to all amateur photographers 18-years and older. This year we will offer a youth category in additional to our adult competition. Cash awards are given in each category with a Best of Show Award. Work will be exhibited at the Lincoln Cultural Center.
